Girls Wrestling Takes 2nd in Districts

The Blaine Borderites girls wrestling team put on a dominant performance at their district tournament, securing a 2nd-place finish and sending five wrestlers directly to the state tournament. In addition, five more athletes earned alternate spots, keeping their postseason hopes alive.

With a strong showing on the mats, the Borderites proved their depth and determination. The five wrestlers who qualified outright will now set their sights on the state championship, set to take place this weekend at the Tacoma Dome.

The team’s performance showcased both skill and resilience, with several hard-fought victories leading to podium finishes. As they prepare for the biggest stage of the season, the Borderites will look to build on their momentum and make a statement at state.
