The Blaine Borderites wrestling program continues to make waves in the Northwest Conference, with standout senior Cole Voigt earning 1st Team All-NWC honors in his weight class. The Northwest Conference all-league teams are comprised of wrestlers from all three classifications, making this a significant recognition for Voigt and the Borderites program.
Voigt’s selection comes on the heels of a strong season, highlighted by his performance at the WIAA State Wrestling Tournament. His efforts throughout the year cemented his reputation as one of the top competitors in the region.
Blaine was also represented at the state tournament by Otto Shelton, who delivered an impressive performance, placing 3rd in his weight class. His podium finish further showcased the strength and determination of Blaine’s wrestling program.
As a team, Blaine finished 18th overall in the 1A classification at the WIAA State Tournament, capping off a strong season for the Borderites.
