Mesa Puls drove in six runs on four hits to lead Blaine Varsity Borderites past Orcas Island 28-4 on Thursday. Puls hit a home run to center field in the fifth scoring three, doubled in the second scoring two, and doubled in the fourth scoring one.
Blaine Varsity Borderites got on the board in the top of the first inning after Courtney Roff singled, scoring two runs, and Kate Koreski drew a walk, scoring one run.
Blaine Varsity Borderites scored 10 runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. Shaylie Daniels singled, scoring two runs, Brie Smith doubled, scoring one run, Koreski singled, scoring one run, Nevaeh Zaddack singled, scoring two runs, Puls doubled, scoring two runs, and Roff tripled, scoring two runs.
Blaine Varsity Borderites added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Koreski doubled, scoring one run, and Jovi Colacurcio singled, scoring two runs.

Smith singled, scoring one run, Maddi Musto doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Colacurcio singled, scoring one run, Puls doubled, scoring one run, and Kendal Johnston doubled, scoring one run.
Blaine Varsity Borderites scored five runs on five hits in the top of the fifth inning. Dilyn Nowakowski singled, scoring two runs, and Puls homered to center field, scoring three runs.
Puls earned the win for Blaine Varsity Borderites. The pitcher allowed three hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking three. Lucy Rios took the loss for Orcas Island. The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing 28 runs (24 earned) on 23 hits, striking out five and walking eight.

Blaine Varsity Borderites 2025 got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brady Dohner grounded into a fielder's choice, Ashton Vezzetti walked, Connor Brown grounded out, Orcas island committed an error, and Elijah Wenger singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
A single by Evan Yates extended the Blaine Varsity Borderites 2025 lead to 6-0 in the top of the second inning.
