The Northwest Conference 1A track and field meet, held Wednesday, April 16 at Lynden Christian, showcased strong performances from Blaine High School athletes.

Josiah Weeda dominated the hurdles, taking 1st in both the 110m and 300m events. Beckum Bleazard sprinted to a 3rd-place finish in the 100m and 2nd in the 200m. Blaine’s 4x100m relay team—Colby Shipp, Josiah Weeda, Jaiden Paez, and Beckum Bleazard—claimed 1st. AJ Anthony-Bennett earned 3rd in boys long jump.

On the girls’ side, Brietta Sandell placed 2nd in the 100m hurdles and 3rd in the 300m hurdles. Teia Dube took 1st in the high jump, and Olivia Carlson-Vega placed 3rd in shot put.
