The Blaine Borderites Girls Golf team is gearing up for the District 1 1A Tournament, scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, at North Bellingham Golf Course. The tournament will bring together top golfers from schools across the region including Lynden Christian, Nooksack Valley, and Mount Baker, with tee times beginning at 1:00 PM.

The Borderites have had a competitive season, highlighted by a strong showing at Semiahmoo Golf Course earlier this spring where junior Thora Engen placed third overall, helping the team to a solid finish. The squad is led by a seasoned core of returning players, including Engen, Marcella Bring, Megan Rosenberger, and Hannah Phelps-McDonald — all of whom gained valuable postseason experience last year.

With solid individual and team performances throughout the season, Blaine enters the district tournament looking to secure spots at the upcoming WIAA State Championship. Live scoring and results will be available on iWanamaker, the official platform for high school golf scoring in Washington.

Supporters are encouraged to come out to North Bellingham on Tuesday and cheer on the Borderites as they aim to advance to state.
