In a display of resilience and skill, the Blaine Borderites girls tennis team secured the District 1 championship yesterday, overcoming challenging wet conditions and strong competition from Meridian and Nooksack Valley.
Leading the team, Ana Tuski earned a spot in the state tournament with a series of composed and strategic singles matches. In doubles, the dynamic duo of Bea Dickson and Carly Saunders showcased their synergy and determination, clinching their place at state with decisive victories.
The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) 1A Girls State Tennis Championships are scheduled for May 23–24, 2025, at the Yakima Tennis Club in Yakima, WA.
