The Blaine Borderites Boys Soccer team wrapped up an impressive finish to their season with two standout players receiving All-Northwest Conference (NWC) honors. Senior Max Yuryev was named to the First Team for his performance on defense, while junior Dima Yuryev earned Second Team honors as a midfielder.
The Borderites finished second in the District 1 tournament. Their playoff run came to an end in a hard-fought bi-district match against The Bush School, where they ultimately fell short of advancing further.
Max anchored Blaine's backline all season, consistently shutting down opposing attacks and providing veteran leadership. Dima played a key role in the midfield, creating opportunities and controlling the tempo of the game with his skill and vision.
Congratulations to both Yuryev brothers on a well-deserved recognition and a memorable season for the Blaine Borderites!
