The Blaine Borderites girls soccer team came away with a big road victory Monday night, defeating La Conner 5-3 in an exciting offensive battle.
Ruby Belarmino led the way with an impressive hat trick, scoring three goals to pace the Borderites’ attack. Kate Koreski and Nevaeh Zaddack each added a goal apiece to round out Blaine’s scoring.
With the win, Blaine continues to build momentum early in the season and will look to keep it going when they return home for their next match. The Borderites will host Squalicum on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
