Emersyn Bakker was dominant in the circle, as the righty rang up 10 strikeouts in the Borderites's 5-2 victory over Lynden on Tuesday. Bakker surrendered seven hits and two runs over seven innings.
The Borderites tied the game in the top of the fourth thanks to a sac bunt from Millie Berkeley moving Mesa Puls from 1st to 3rd, a ground out by Jordyn Vezzetti, and a double by Bakker bring Daniels in.
In the top of the sixth, Blaine broke up the tie when Vezzetti homered to left field, scoring two runs. Then a solo home run to left field by Shaylie Daniels followed to extend the lead to 5-2.
Vezzetti provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Blaine Lady Borderites with three runs batted in.
Millie Berkeley, Vezzetti, Daniels, and Bakker each collected one hit for Blaine.
