Blaine High School is proud to announce that two of its outstanding student-athletes have been honored with the prestigious Cliff Gillies Award, recognizing their exceptional performance both in the classroom and on the field.
The Cliff Gillies Student Award is presented annually to students in recognition of personal achievement in academics, sportsmanship, citizenship, and participation. This award highlights the dedication, discipline, and balance required to achieve high standards in both academics and sports.
**Recipients of the 2024 Cliff Gillies Award:**
Jordyn Vezzetti
- Sports: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball
- Achievements: Jordyn was recognized for her play this basketball season. She was awarded a 2nd team all NWC selection by coaches within the conference. Not only that, but she represented the Borderites in the 1A/2A all state basketball game. She also had an outstanding season in softball and helped us finish as the 2nd seed in the district tournament. She has also maintained a 3.6 GPA throughout her high school career.
Noah Tavis
- Sports: Basketball, Golf
-Achievements: Noah was a captain of our basketball team this year. He led the team in rebounding and was 2nd on his team in both scoring and assists. He also served as a leader for our Boys Golf program that sent two student-athletes to state. Academically, Noah was a valedictorian with a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Both Jordyn and Noah have shown that true excellence comes from a balanced commitment to both academics and athletics. Their hard work and achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and the broader community. Congratulations to Jordyn and Noah!
