The Blaine Borderites football team cruised to a decisive 47-22 victory over Granite Falls on Friday night, thanks to a stellar performance by senior running back Jaden Paez. Paez carried the ball 20 times for 186 yards, scoring four rushing touchdowns. He also made an impact on defense, returning an interception for a fifth touchdown, cementing his status as the game’s standout player.

Colby Shipp complemented Paez’s dominant performance with an impressive outing of his own, rushing 18 times for 113 yards. Blaine jumped out to a commanding lead in the first half and maintained control throughout the game, holding Granite Falls scoreless until the second half.

The Borderites, ranked third in the state based on the WIAA RPI, continue their strong season with another victory. They will face Lynden Christian at 7 p.m. this Friday at Blaine High School in what promises to be an exciting matchup.
