The Blaine Borderites volleyball team made a powerful statement in their opening district match, defeating Mount Baker in straight sets, 3-0. With scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-22, the Borderites showcased their skill and determination on the court. Teia Dube led the charge with an impressive 15 kills, setting the pace for Blaine's dominant performance.

This victory propelled the team into the Double Elimination stage of the district tournament, where they faced a tough Meridian squad. Despite their best efforts, Blaine fell to Meridian with a final score of 3-0.

The Borderites are now set to battle Nooksack Valley tomorrow night in a loser out match at Meridian High School. The game starts at 5 p.m., and Blaine fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on the team as they fight to keep their district tournament hopes alive.
