The Blaine Borderites Varsity Basketball teams had a successful outing against Friday Harbor, securing back-to-back wins on the court.

Girls Varsity Basketball:
The Blaine Girls Varsity team started the evening with a commanding 40-24 victory. Their strong defensive effort and teamwork set the tone for the night. Kate Koreski led the team with an impressive performance, contributing 12 points and six steals. Brie Smith also delivered a standout game, adding 10 points, seven rebounds, and three assists to the team’s total.

The Girls Varsity team will take this momentum on the road for their next game against Orcas Island on Monday.

Boys Varsity Basketball:
Following the girls’ win, the Blaine Boys Varsity team kept the energy alive with a dominant 61-40 triumph. Josiah Weeda had a stellar game, leading all scorers with 23 points and grabbing five rebounds. Abdul Kanagie provided strong support, scoring 16 points and securing four rebounds.

The Boys team is set to play tonight at home against Tamanawis BC, looking to build on their impressive start to the season.

Extra Points: Blaine's JV also won 67-20.
