The Blaine Boys Wrestling team delivered an impressive performance at Sedro, securing a 3rd place finish out of 17 participating schools. Only Sedro-Woolley and Wapato placed higher, showcasing the Borderites’ competitive spirit and talent on the mat.
Four Borderite athletes advanced to the finals, earning top placements in their respective weight classes:
Cole Voigt – 1st place at 120 lbs
Aiden Hancock – 2nd place at 126 lbs
Daniel Johner – 2nd place at 138 lbs
Otto Shelton – 2nd place at 285 lbs
This strong showing highlights the dedication and skill of the team as they continue to build momentum this season.
The Borderites’ next meet is set for tomorrow night at Blaine High School in the Ken Waters Gym, where they will face off against Nooksack Valley. Come out and support the team as they aim to keep their success rolling!
