The Blaine Borderites girls basketball team secured a 22-19 victory at home against Oak Harbor on Tuesday night, showcasing resilience and teamwork in a low-scoring defensive battle. The victory also marked Coach Kaitlyn Mark's first win as head coach of the Borderites.

Leading the charge for the Borderites was Aaliyah Bowman, who contributed a team-high 8 points and added 9 rebounds to her impressive stat line. Bowman's performance on both ends of the court proved crucial in a tightly contested matchup.

Marcella Bring was a force in the paint, leading Blaine with 10 rebounds. Her dominance on the boards helped the Borderites control possessions and limit Oak Harbor’s scoring opportunities.

The Borderites’ defense shone throughout the game, holding Oak Harbor to just 19 points. Their ability to maintain pressure and force turnovers ultimately sealed the victory.

Blaine’s next challenge comes tonight when they travel to face Cedar Park Christian.
